In the 2000’s, they’re ranked #2 as the best selling foreign act in the United States, right behind The Beatles! 50,000,000 albums sold worldwide and their single “How You Remind Me” was selected as the Greatest Rock Single of the Decade. Oh how the mighty have fallen! In the past 3 years, Nickelback has become everyone’s favorite punching bag. Their band is listed with Creed, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga as the most reviled and over-hyped acts of recent memory. The Canadian rockers were recently featured on TravelZoo.com, the website for heavily discounted travel and entertainment deals. Nickelback’s upcoming U.S. Tour in support of their No Fixed Address CD has not been sellling well, so this once dominant rock band had to pull out the gimmicks to fill the amphitheaters. You can buy concert tickets for Nickelback and opening act, The Pretty Reckless, for as low as $12.50 a ticket! On selected dates, Pop Evil will be opening.
“SHE KEEPS ME UP” NICKELBACK
Say what you want about Nickelback’s music, but lowering ticket prices to make them fan accessible and adding an exciting, young, female rock star for your opening act is going to generate a lot of great press. Nickelback’s latest CD has some great songs, “She Keeps Me Up” is a funky sexual romp and “Make Me Believe Again” continues their band’s string of memorable power ballads. It’s become hip to rip on bands like Nickelback who’ve become so successful for commercial music, but their catalog of hits is impressive. Taylor Momsen’s band, The Pretty Reckless, is probably one more great album away from reaching superstar status. The huge success of “Heaven Knows” and “Messed Up World” from their 2014 CD, “Going To Hell” only increased their exposure and they’ll make for a great opening act this summer. For the price of a movie ticket, you’ll be in for an exciting night of rock and roll.
