randy_houser_how_country_feelsLike clockwork every summer, a batch of new country party songs just perfect for the beach and summer fun comes out each year. The usual suspects are Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, and recently it’s been newer artists like Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean heating up the summer. Get ready for 2013’s contender for the summer jam of the year. Randy Houser’s “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” has got a contagious “Whoa” before the big chorus kicks in, “Girl Every now and then you get a night like this, Whoa, This is one that we don’t wanna miss, no, Come on baby let me take you on a night ride, Windows down, sittin’ on my side.”

Gone-Gone-GoneThe 2012 American Idol winner is back with his second hit single, Gone Gone Gone. The brand new video shares an upbeat, hopeful promise of endless love. The hometown scenes with sparklers and bonfires is a touch of small town memories. The drum chant at the end of the song is heartwarming. In fact, the video director describes the song as “a celebration of life”. It’s such a feel-good pop hit that you’ll be singing along before the song ends. Phillip Phillips reminds me of Dave Matthews, in fact, I actually prefer Phillip’s voice over Dave.

phoenix-entertainmentThe French alternative/dance rock band, Phoenix, has a new single called “Entertainment”. The quirky synthesizer driven band has a captivating new video to accompany the song. Set in Korea, the quick edit video feels like footage from romantic movie we’ve never seen. It’s actually a compilation of different time periods when the same two people keep falling in love despite all of the crazy obstacles that come between them. The video will keep your attention until the end and it’s one of the best songs Phoenix has released.
