Get ready for Alicia Keys overload, the last quarter of 2016 will be owned by the 15-time Grammy Award winner. One of the most beautiful and talented singers of the last fifteen years will be joining “The Voice” as a judge along with fellow newcomer, Miley Cyrus joining Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Alicia’s also confirmed to be teaming up with rising country music superstar, Maren Morris, for a December 2nd taping of CMT’s Crossroads which blends a current artist with a major influence on their career. Maren is best known for her huge summer hit, “My Church” and is approaching the top of the charts again with her pop country smash “80’s Mercedes”. But wait….there’s more Alicia coming! In May, Alicia teased us all with her incredible new song “In Common”, it was a preview of her upcoming album due this fall on RCA Records. The album is a bit of a comeback for the 35 year old singer who took a little hiatus for the birth of her first child. She recorded over 30 songs for the new album that will likely contain a few human right anthems in support of her “We Are Here” movement.
Maren Morris is currently on tour in support of Keith Urban’s Ripcord Tour. Maren was named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” and is living up to the reputation with two mega-hits this summer alone. Her hit “My Church” set a record for the most country music radio stations to play a debut artist’s first single. If you haven’t heard her pop/country hybrid 80’s throwback jam, enjoy!
