Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s love affair has been inspiring fans for the past five years. They were actually introduced on CMT’s Greatest Duets Concert when the two artists were paired for a version of David Frizzell and Shelley West’s “You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma”. Just watching the video again, you can see the spark in Blake’s eyes as he watched Miranda sing. New songs like “God Gave Me You” feel like a glimpse into Blake’s heart. The official video for “Sure Be Cool” hasn’t been released yet but the lyric video captures some of the sweet innocence of a love affair with creative images from a late night tavern.
After that meeting in 2006, Blake and Miranda eventually started dating. In 2011, they were married. Co-headlining a tour, side by side at award shows, interview appearances, Blake and Miranda appear to have a love affair as amazing as a Hollywood movie. After Blake’s brother and father died, they co-wrote a dedication song called “Over You”. The song was so emotional and tied to Blake that he couldn’t record it, Miranda’s emotional version won 2012’s CMT Song of The Year award.
