Brantley, Eric, Chris, and Kip – Rockstar Country Artists

Pretty boy country music and glamour girls in cute cowboy hats have been ruling the genre for the past few years.  But thankfully artists like Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Kip Moore haven’t forgotten that country music comes in all forms including guitar heavy rocking tracks with a lot of rough and ready attitude!   Currently in rotation on CMT, you’ve got a lot of Luke, Kenny, Kelsea, and Thomas Rhett and they’re all great artists but sometimes you want something a little stronger.   Here’s a quartet of new country videos that bring back that Southern Rock vibe, the kind of country music that gets your rocker friends asking “wait, who’s that guy?”

“THE ONES THAT LIKE ME”  – Brantley Gilbert

Guitars, motorcycles, tattoos, and that in-your-face chorus is typical Brantley Gilbert.   If you’ve never been to a country concert and you’re a rocker, Brantley is the first show I’d recommend to give it a try!

“LAST SHOT”  – Kip Moore

There is definitely a comparison between Bruce Springsteen’s band of storytelling rock and roll and Kip Moore’s style.  “Last Shot” is a beautiful and emotional tearjerker music video that deserves more attention! The opening notes sound like an Aerosmith song.

“ROUND HERE BUZZ” – Eric Church

Eric Church has been right up on the edge of rock and country music and was featured on Halestorm‘s last album with the remake of “That’s Damn Rock And Roll”. Here’s his latest and yes he’s still rocking those sunglasses at night.

“MIDNIGHT TRAIN TO MEMPHIS” – Chris Stapleton
From Chris’ recent performance on Saturday Night Live, Stapleton ripped into the hardest rockin’ track from his latest album, From A Room: Volume 2 (Review link). Chris Stapleton is also jumping up the Billboard Singles chart with his new duet, “Say Something” on Justin Timberlake’s Man In The Woods LP
