As dominating as Michael Phelps in the pool, Brooks and Dunn are simply the greatest duo in Country Music history. Winners of fifteen CMA Group or Duo of the Year awards, twenty #1 hit songs, and 39 Top Ten singles in their illustrious career. Brooks & Dunn called it quits in 2010 but reunited in 2015 for an ongoing run in Las Vegaswith their longtime friend, Reba McEntire. They were honored with the Nash Icon Award earlier this year at the American Country Music Awards by Reba.
Ronnie Dunn reunited with his partner, Kix Brooks for his latest single, “Damn Drunk”, a gorgeous love song that recalls “You’ll Always Be Loved By Me”. “If you were on the other side of the world / I’d spin that thing right back around just to get to you, girl / I love the way you always go and mess me up / If you were a whiskey girl, I’d be a damn drunk.” The music video was filmed in Santa Fe, NM and Ronnie declared when he first heard the song, “it’s one of those tunes I’m gravitated to.” If you’re a huge Ronnie Dunn fan (who isn’t?), check out Jake Owen’s new album where they duet on a new song called “A Dream Come True”.
