Bruce Springsteen 2016 Tour Sells Out in Minutes

TiesThatBind_Boxset_BruceNext month, one of the biggest tours of 2016 will kick off in Pittsburgh on January 16th.   Bruce Springsteen will be performing his classic double album, “The River”, in its entirety for 24 highly sought after concert dates.   In support of his deluxe CD package, The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, Bruce will likely include some of the exclusive outtakes from the box set.   If you’re looking for a ticket, good luck!   Tickets sold out in minutes and secondary markets are looking for $300-$500 a ticket already.    The tour is primarily in the Northeast (Boston, NYC, Philly…), a few dates in the South (Atlanta and Ft Lauderdale), and will be wrapping up with three dates in California including the last two shows in Los Angeles.

Springsteen_Stage_RiverThe 66 year old rocker will be appearing next weekend as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.  Bruce is also currently working on a new album (reportedly a solo disc).    There is hope that since the tour sold out so quickly that Bruce recognizes the demand and adds more dates perhaps this summer.   The Philly show sold out in 15 minutes and many longtime fans of The Boss were disappointed they were shut out and have started a campaign to convince Springsteen to add another show.   The new box set not only contains The River’s 20 tracks, but a DVD interview disc a concert DVD from 1980, plus a full CD of incredible outtakes including Chain Lighting, Cindy, and Meet Me In The City.
