Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band: 2014 U.S. Tour Dates Announced

bruce-springsteen-2014Christmas has come early for Bruce Springsteen fans in 2014.   We started off the year with the surprise release of the “High Hopes” CD, a studio album of outtakes, covers, and originals that never made it to an official album.   And now, The Boss has announced a spring U.S. tour, kicking off April 8th in Cincinnati and ending May 18th in Uncasville, CT, fifteen cities altogether.   During the “Wrecking Ball” tour in 2012, Springsteen missed Texas and Florida, so Bruce was excited to add these markets this time around.    The tour dates are primarily the Southeast, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York but “high hopes” exist for a full slate of national tour dates later this year.

bruce-springsteen-tom-morelloWhat can fans expect on the tour?   Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, continues as a special guest, injecting his hard rock energy into the E Street Band.   Some deep Springsteen classics including “The Promise”, “Sherry Darling”, “I’ll Work For Your Love”, and “Terry’s Song” were added to the Australian setlists.   Any cool covers?  Look out for AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” and the Moon Mullican rockabilly workout, “Seven Nights To Rock”, both hugely popular on recent setlists.     Fans at the South African shows were able to buy USB bracelets which offered a digital download of their concert within 72 hours of the show. rumors persist that something similar with happen in the States.
