“LETTIN’ THE NIGHT ROLL” Justin Moore
Justin Moore has the traditional country twang and the cowboy hat, but this rising star is becoming contemporary country’s latest Bro-superstar. The 30 year Nashville native is signed to Big Name Records, the same label as Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and Tim McGraw. He won Best New Artist at last month’s Academy of Country Music Awards. Justin’s traditional enough to satisfy the old school fans but songs like his latest “Letting The Night Roll” merge the modern country rock sound. In fact, Justin recently covered “Home Sweet Home” with none other than Vince Neil of Motley Cure. Watch out for Justin! The song is busting into the Top 10 this week.
“YOU SOUND GOOD TO ME” Lucy Hale
I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen an episode of ABC Family’s teen drama, Pretty Little Liars. But one of the show’s biggest stars, Lucy Hale, has just released her debut country single. “You Sound So Good To Me” is country pop in the style of Taylor Swift but there is something so catchy about the chorus. Lucy grew up a Britney Spears fan and you can hear the influence of Britney’s early work on this new song. Lucy’s debut CD, Road Between, is scheduled for a June 4th release date.
