Can You Guess En Vogue’s Biggest Selling Hit Song?

En Vogue Don't Let GoNo question, the ladies in En Vogue were not only supremely talented, they are the sexiest R&B group of all-time. Which En Vogue song was internationally their biggest selling single? First guesses would probably be “My Lovin’ (Never Gonna Get It)” or “Whatta Man” with Salt ‘N Pepa.  The R&B group had six #1 hit songs but the biggest seller internationally was actually “Don’t Let Go” from their 1997 album, EV3. The song debuted on the Set It Off soundtrack (Queen Latifah, Diane Keaton) and went Top 10 worldwide. Following the release, Dawn Robinson went solo and despite multiple roster changes, En Vogue never became a major force in R&B again. “Don’t Let Go” was reinterpreted by South Carolina rockers, Deepfield, on their 2007 debut CD. Both versions maintain the borderline obsessive attitude and pack an emotional punch, which is your favorite?

“What’s it gonna be ‘cuz I can’t pretend
Don’t you want to be more than friends
Hold me tight and don’t let go……
I often tell myself that we could be more than just friends
I know you think that if we move too soon it would all end
I live in misery when you’re not around
And I won’t be satisfied till we’re taking those vows

There’ll be some love makin’, heart breakin’, soul shakin’ love
Love makin’, heart breakin’, soul shakin’…”
