Eric Church Teams Up With Hank Williams Jr.

Hank_Williams_Jr_MNFTo younger viewers, Hank Williams Jr is that “old country guy” who used to sing the Monday Night Football song.   But Ole’ Bocephus has not only been the King of Outlaw Country for the past 4 decades, he’s still releasing new music.   After switching labels to Nash Icon Records, Hank Jr. is back with a rowdy cover  of “Are You Ready For The Country” with Entertainer of The Year nominee, Eric Church.   The country classic was originally written by Neil Young as a warning to his rock and roll friends that he’s going country.   “Are You Ready” first appeared on Neil’s “Harvest” album, but became most popular after Waylon Jennings recorded a Top 10 version of the song in the mid-70’s.    Eric and Hank maintain the defiant country-rock attitude and it’s an instant classic.    Look out for Hank Jr.’s new CD, “It’s About Time”, a mix of cover songs, guest stars, and even some new original compositions.
