Glee’s Amber Riley moving to Empire?

“SHUT UP + DANCE WITH ME”  Walk The Moon

Walk-the-Moon-Shut-up-and-DanceIn 2011, “Anna Sun” by Walk The Moon was named the “best summer song of the year” by MTV, and two major magazines, Esquire and Seventeen.   The youthful, high energy smash was heard everywhere and Walk The Moon followed it up with appearances at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.    Get ready for history to repeat itself, summers on the way and their latest single “Shut Up and Dance” is already #1 on the Billboard Alternative charts and currently racing up the Pop Singles chart.  Incidentally, both “Anna Sun” and “Shut Up” were first released as FREE iTunes singles.   Guess it’s true what they say, “the best things in life are free”.

“SOMEDAY WE’LL BE TOGETHER” Amber Riley (Glee)

empire-after-party-taraji-timbaland-amber-rileyWhy haven’t Darren Criss and Amber Riley from Glee released solo CD’s yet? Now that Glee has officially ended their six season run, what’s next for these incredibly talented vocalists? On the show’s final episode, each major cast member got an emotional spotlight moment to say goodbye. Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) injected new life and a promise of a reunion with her dynamic performance of Diana Ross & The Supremes’ last big hit, “Someday We’ll Be Together”. Amber’s powerful vocals and charisma blow away so many of today’s current pop superstars. Glee might be over but maybe the producers of Fox’s hit, Empire, will swoop in and sign Amber to a contract? She’s already committed to Fox and the new series (which just finished their first season) could see a ratings boost by adding the crossover potential of one of Glee’s biggest voices.
