“GHOSTS” MICHAEL JACKSON
When you think of Halloween and music videos, Michael Jackson’s Thriller is the obvious first song that comes to mind. Michael loved costumes, scary movies, and Halloween. Ironic given his Jehovah’s Witnesses background, that MJ is also the King Of Halloween dance songs. “Ghosts” was a follow-up to “Thriller” set in a haunted house. I’m including both the video edit version and the FULL 40 minute mini-movie.
“GHOSTS N STUFF” DEADMAU5
Canadian DJ, Deadmau5, exploded onto the music scene in 2007 with his electronic dance music. MTV’s Jersey Shore used “Ghosts N Stuff” in an episode and included it on their soundtrack. This danceflooor anthem combines the latest craze, dubstep, with some old school techno beats. Deadmau5 is most famous for his Mickey Mouse ears donned on stage. It’s since become one of the most recognized looks associated with the club/rave scene. Deadmau5 sold USB drives of his live shows right after concerts, what a great idea!
“HALLOWEEN 2011 DANCE MIX” JOHN CARPENTER and STEVE ANDREWS
Take the eerie movie theme from John Carpenter’s Halloween complete with classic Michael Myers, The Shining, Exorcist quotes taken from the film, add in some techno dance beats and you’ve got a hot Halloween track to fill the dance floor. The original soundtrack song is so iconic yet the producer found a way to reinvent the song with the remix. I took some iconic scream queen pictures, pumpkins, and movie stills for this homemade video.
“LEAP OF FAITH” JOCHEN MILLER
A trance DJ from the Netherlands who has been working closely with super DJ, Armin Van Buuren for the past few years. On Armin’s Sirius radio show, “A State Of Sundays”, Jochen’s show “Stay Connected” is a featured element. Get past the initial vocals and give this song more than 15 seconds, it really jumps into hyperdrive.
