Talk about “California Dreaming” – combine the surf and sunshine of America’s ultimate Beach Boy with the magical and special memories that Walt Disney’s movies brought to your childhood. You don’t need to head to Anaheim’s Disneyland for this special event. Brian Wilson recorded a special album for his kids called “In The Key of Disney” where twelve all-time soundtrack favorites are all collected on one CD. The connection between California, the Beach Boys, and Walt Disney goes way back. The vocal harmony on their debut single, “Surfer Girl”, was inspired by Pinocchio’s “When You Wish Upon A Star”. Now Brian returns to his original inspiration and records the sweet and tender lullaby as the closing song on the album.

This “kid’s” album will take the parents way back to early Disney classics from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, “Dumbo”, and “The Jungle Book”. But younger fans will fall in love with Brian’s take on “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” (The Lion King), “Colors Of The Wind” (Pocahontas), “Kiss The Girl” (The Little Mermaid), and “We Belong Together” (Toy Story 3). Yes, some of these songs have been overplayed, a few songs have very simple arrangements, and 12 songs just isn’t enough. But you’re missing the point. This sweet CD was made out of love for children and the magic of Disney. It is impossible to hear Brian’s voice and not smile, your children will beg you to play it again over and over.
