Lzzy Hale Covers Whitney Houston and Cinderella

Two years ago, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm came on stage with Tom Keifer of Cinderella and performed an intense version of “Nobody’s Fool”.  The power ballad from Cinderella’s 1986 album, “Night Songs” was the first song to push the glam metal band into the spotlight.   The chemistry between Lzzy and Tom was perfect on stage as the seasoned veteran teamed up with the huge fan and current metal superstar.   They’ve officially recorded two versions of “Nobody’s Fool” for inclusion on a re-release of Tom’s debut solo CD, The Way Life Goes (Deluxe Edition).   One version is a straight ahead cover of the song with Tom and Lzzy trading vocals.  The second take is entitled “Piano Version” where the song gets a softer touch.  If you’re checking out Tom’s Deluxe Version, look for a special cover of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends” and a bonus 30 minute DVD with music videos and the making of the album highlights.
“NOBODY’S FOOL” Tom Keifer with Lzzy Hale

Lzzy Hale accepted the Best Vocalist Award at the 2017 Loudwire Awards on behalf of the winner, Chester Bennington.   She triumphantly proclaimed he was the voice of our generation.   Lzzy reminded us that we all have demons to face daily and we have a duty to lift each other and not cyberbully each other over how we deal with things.  She remarked, “I’ve seen it first hand, the power of words one kind comment can change the course of someone’s life, change what they want to do and what they live for. Before you start saying stupid shit on Facebook, know that what you say has the power to heal or hurt somebody. So choose wisely.”   Fittingly, here is a rare version of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” sung by Lzzy at the piano.   The cover was just Lzzy in the spotlight at the HerrinFesta Italiana concert on May 28th this year.
