Metallica Does An ESPN Sportscenter Commercial!

metallica espn sportscenterDuring Monday’s Major League Baseball All-Star game, ESPN debuted a new commercial for Sportscenter featuring none other than heavy metal gods, Metallica! Like so many of their hilarious commercials, the spot features a big time cameo performance doing something outrageous. Yankee future Hall Of Famer, Mariano Rivera, retired from baseball last year and used to come to the mound to close out games to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. With Mariano gone, Metallica are in search of a new athlete in need of a entrance song. Jay Harris, Scott Van Pelt, and Stuart Scott all appear in the 30 second spot with Metallica. Funniest part of the clip when Stuart Scott used Kirk Hammett’s guitar lesson flier for a gum wrapper! BONUS VIDEO: Metallica’s nine minute tribute medley to Ronnie James Dio
