Ultimate Wedding Duets (Disney Wedding Pavilion)

“IF YOU LOVE ME”    B.B. King with Van Morrison

Walt Disney World Wedding PavillionLike a gift from the Gods from Mount Olympus, the legendary Irish singer/songwriter, Van Morrison, blessed us once again with a magical collaboration with the late blues master, B. B. King. “If You Love Me” appeared on his 1997 album, Deuces Wild and later on his greatest hits CD. Lyrics read like a simple lullaby but delivered with so much blue-eyed soul as no one but Van Morrison can sing.
If you love me
You will give your heart
Why should we be apart
If you love me

If you love me
You will know the truth
I wasn’t born to lose
And I love you

Affinity and communication
That makes reality
Understanding is the first thing
It means so much to me

If I love you
I will find the key
If it’s meant to be
‘Cause I love you”

B.B. King’s sweet and soulful guitar accompaniment on his cherished guitar, Lucille, balance out with a vintage harmonica solo that beautifully flow with Morrison’s delivery. It’s truly a one of a kind musical event by two of music’s all-time legends.

“WHEN I SAID I DO” Clint Black with Lisa Hartman Black

Disney Wedding PavillionWhen life imitates art, it’s a truly special event. In 1999, the winner for Academy of Country Music Awards Vocal Event of the Year went to Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, for their career-defining duet, When I Said I Do. Not only did the song go straight to #1, the collaboration became inspirational motivation for couples in love everywhere. Clint, a high profile country music star, and his beautiful actress wife, Lisa Hartman (Tabitha on Bewitched among other roles) brought authenticity to the romantic lyrics. As they publicly reaffirmed their wedding vows in song and promised to stick together for the rest of their life, the song crossed music genres and new fans embraced the song as their future wedding song.

Today’s Post is dedicated to Steven Higginbotham and Kelly Taylor, a beautiful young couple who were married today at Walt Disney World’s Wedding Pavillion, one year to the day after Steven proposed to Kelly at Disney World.
