New Holiday Music From The Killers, Cheaptrick, Colbie Caillat, Blake Shelton

Christmas is only 2 weeks away. Just hearing a few seconds of “All I Want For Christmas” or “O Holy Night” and our vivid memories light up with cherished thoughts of years gone by. The record labels hold back releasing new music this time of year so special holiday CD’s can hopefully become the new soundtrack to our holiday memories. A Very Special Christmas 25 celebrates a monumental anniversay. Rod Stewart, Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton, Colbie Caillat, Lady Antebellum, and Willie Nelson are the superstar highlights for 2012. A couple of unexpected holiday CD’s are the return of Olivia Newton-John with John Travolta and the eccentric Sufjan Stevens.

Here are four new videos that caught my attention. For the third time, The Killers come back with their holiday single. Following “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” and “Boots”, their 2012 song is called “I Feel It In My Bones”. Cheaptrick get nostalgic with “I Want You For Christmas”, borrowing some lines from their biggest hit. Colbie Caillat reminds us that a lot of us live nowhere near the snow on “Christmas In The Sand”.  And, Michael Buble and Blake Shelton reinvent their #1 hit, “Home” into the holiday spirit.
