Remember during the Oscar-snubbed “Straight Outta Compton” when it was revealed that Dr. Dre assaulted his fiance’?  Yes, that was Michel’le who bared Dre’s son, Marcel.   A few years later, Michel’le married the boss, the infamous Suge Knight.   History repeated itself as it was revealed that Suge also beat Michel’le during their time together before they divorced six years into the marriage.   They have a daughter named Bailei who turns 16 this year.   Their story was captured in a Lifetime film, “Dre, Suge, and Michel’le” released in 2013.    Life has been a rollercoaster for the R&B songbird, but her life is on the rebound and she’s been part of the cast of the Broadway musical, Love Jones.  It’s an adaptation of the 1999 movie and features Musiq Soulchild, MC Lyte, Dave Hollister, and Chrisette Michelle and Tony Grant in the lead roles.
