The new CD by country music superstar, Sara Evans, is slated for release in March of this year. She’s ecstatic about the new record and described the recording process as “100% joy, no stress at all.” The lead single, Slow Me Down, has taken country music by storm. The new CD features a duet with Vince Gill, who sang with Sara on her debut album for the #1 hit, “No Place That Far”. Sara remarked the song has a 90’s Patty Loveless feel to the tune. Other guest vocalists include Isaac Slade of The Fray on “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” and a duet with Gavin DeGraw on his hit, “Not Over You”.
Sara and her family moved to Birmingham, Alabama where her husband, Jay Barker, is a state hero from his days as starting quarterback of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Being away from the stress of the Nashville music machine and able to spend more time with her kids has given Sara the peace of mind to focus on her career. This positive vibe is all over the new record, “This album has turned out to be really, really sexy and confident,” Evans notes. “And the confidence part is a real picture of where I am right now in my life, and how I feel about things. So I guess it’s two words: sexy and confident.”
