That magical feeling of falling in love and the devastating emotional toll of a  rough breakup have inspired some of the greatest movies, books, and songs that have shaped our lives.   Seal chose the power of love, both the good and the bad, as the theme for his exquisite 7th album which reminds us of his 90’s sound.   Seal said,  “I tried to capture all of the wonderfully different dynamics of love, whether it’s the anger, the acceptance, the bliss, the sadness, the elation, or the recklessness. It’s this emotion and the ways it makes us feel. It’s about the extreme joy and the extreme regret as well as all of the crazy things love makes us do.”

Seal-Do-You-EverOnce again, produced by Trevor Horn, Seal 7 has flown under the radar and doesn’t have a huge radio-ready single (except maybe the upbeat Life On A Dancefloor?).  But there is so much pure passion and moving lyrics highlighted in the eleven song collection.    Seal admits some of the lyrics were written way back in 2012 after his breakup from supermodel, Heidi Klum, but he just wasn’t ready to release them yet.   Check out a track like “Half A Heart” and try not to cry.   While most of other songs including the lead singles, “Do You Ever” and “Every Time I’m With You” are classic love songs inspired by his new relationship with girlfriend, Erica Packer.   If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing, romantic album laced with incomparable lyrics, Seal 7 is worth checking out.
