Set Your DVR: Barbra Streisand on The Tonight Show

Streisand Carson Tonight ShowWere you watching TV in 1963?  Likely not, but if you were, you might have caught a special Tonight Show with Johnny Carsen.  He introduced us to a young 21 year old ingenue named Barbra Streisand making her late night talk show debut.   FIFTY years later, Barbra is returning to late night with a special appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show tomorrow night.   If you’re a fan or not, this is one of those big events that deserves your attention!     Twenty years ago, Barbra made a quick cameo on Late Night With David Letterman (1994), but Monday night Barbra is here for the full hour as Fallon’s only guest and musical performer.   Who knows what surprises Fallon has in store for the Broadway legend?    Will Barbra be a good sport and join Jimmy for his typical party games like Beer Pong and Pictionary?    Set your DVR for a one of a kind TV special.

“IT HAD TO BE YOU” Barbra Streisand with Michael Buble

Barbra Streisand Lionel RichieWhat brings the reclusive ultimate Diva into the big spotlight?   Of course, Barbra is doing this for a special one of a kind promotion.   Her latest CD, “Partners”, comes out tomorrow (Sept 16th).    Twelve new duets with artists like John Legend, Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, and even a virtual duet with none other than Elvis Presley!    Which big name star will show up tonight to sing with Barbra?    Billy Joel, her son, Jason Gould, or Blake Shelton are all on the new CD and would make for great TV appearing tonight on Fallon.     My prediction is John Legend for their network debut  of “What Kind Of Fool” originally written and recorded with Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.
