His mom named him Clifford Harris Jr., but in the competitive rap game it’s tough to compete when you share your name with a big floppy cartoon dog or Dr. Huxtable on the old Cosby show. So he adopted the name T.I. (sometimes goes by TIP) and exploded onto the Atlanta hip hop music scene ten years ago. Eight top selling CD’s, acted in movies including American Gangster and ATL, and T.I. even owns his own record label. Despite all of his accolades, his high profile arrests and prison sentence garnered some of his biggest publicity.
When it comes to T.I’s music, the biggest artists today want to team up with the Rubberband Man. He’s been able to maintain the hardcore street cred with duets with Jay-Z (Bring Em Out), Kanye West (Swagga Like Us), and Eminem (That’s All She Wrote). At the same time, T.I. has been able to crossover to the pop charts by successfully teaming up with some of the biggest artists of our time. Duets with Sean Kingston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Cee-Lo Green are all incredible but my top 5 T.I. pop collaborations from T.I.’s albums are:
5. “GUNS AND ROSES” with PINK (NEW!)
4. “GOT YOUR BACK” with KERI HILSON
3. “WONDERFUL LIFE” with AKON (NEW!)
2. “LIVE YOUR LIFE” with RIHANNA
1. “DEAD AND GONE” with JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
