Taylor Swift’s Ultimate Catfight!

“BAD BLOOD”  Taylor Swift

Taylor-Swift-Red-Hair-Bad-Blood-VideoTaylor Swift’s epic new video “Bad Blood” featuring Kendrick Lamar is a visual sci-fi extravaganza that lives up to all of the hype! From the opening scene which feels like a Michael Bay production of Adam West’s Batman to the Kill Bill inspired fight scene in the snow, Taylor keeps us smiling ear to ear. 20,000,000 VIEWS in the first day alone! Cameos by Selina Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Hayley Williams (Paramore), Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford, Mariska Hargitay, Serayah McNeil (Empire)and Lena Dunham all play a key role in the ultimate catfight. The entire video almost feels like a “name that movie inspiration” for each scene: Kick Ass, Resident Evil, The Avengers, The Expendables, Wonder Woman, Mad Max, …… Reportedly the song was written in response to the rumored “bad blood” between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift but regardless of the intentions, the music video is the most entertaining high profile video so far in 2015!

“HIGH OFF MY LOVE” Paris Hilton
Paris-Hilton-High-Off-My-Love-2015If you want to argue that anyone can have a hit song if you crank up the AutoTune and dump a bunch of money into a big production music video, let me give you Exhibit A that it’s not true! Just like Taylor Swift, a pop artist teams up with a prominent rapper for a new music video dripping with excess. Only this time, Paris Hilton somehow convinced Birdman to smear his legacy and appear on her new single. It’s a close call deciding if Paris is a better actress or singer, but “High Off My Love” is her greatest performance since her sex tape about a decade ago. The video’s highlights: Paris sucking on her finger, straddling a motorcycle, strutting down the runway showing off her best ASSets, and some great soft porn scenes for her next audition for Cinemax. WHY? If you’re still into Paris, my advice is turn down the volume, play “Bad Blood” in the background as you watch this artistic masterpiece.

  1. Bob, that’s funny! You’re right, they build it up and keep adding in badass characters and then it’s over before it begun. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did a parody of this on SNL last Saturday night.

  2. Great music video, but the flaw I see is that she goes to literally the instant of the start of possibly the most spectacular catfight in a very long time — and stops. In my time there was a word for that: P****tease.
