The Beatles “A Hard Day’s Night”: Greatest Boy Band Album Ever!

The Beatles third studio album accompanied their film, “A Hard Day’s Night”.    The album was their first album released in four track stereo, their first album of all original material, and essentially took a snapshot of the world’s greatest rock band just before they “matured” and became more politically and socially active with their music.

“A Hard Day’s Night”, voted onto Rolling Stone’s list of the top 500 albums of all-time, is essentially the perfect collection of boy band rock anthems ever.  Unforgettable lyrics by Lennon and McCartney,  which influenced so many bands like The Kinks, Loving Spoonful, Motown, and The Rolling Stones.   Let’s not forget, the 12-string guitar work by George Harrison, groundbreaking for the 60’s.    Throw in a film full of screaming girls, their sly humor, and you’ve got another piece of the Beatles legacy that cemented their hold as the greatest rock band in music history.

Here’s the lineup:

Side 1:

“A HARD DAY’S NIGHT”

“I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER”

“IF I FELL”

“I’M HAPPY JUST TO DANCE WITH YOU”

“AND I LOVE HER”

“TELL ME WHY”

“CAN’T BUY ME LOVE”

SIDE 2:
“ANYTIME AT ALL”

“I’LL CRY INSTEAD”

“THINGS WE SAID TODAY”

“WHEN I GET HOME”

“YOU CAN’T DO THAT”

“I’LL BE BACK”
