Back in 1980, Mick Jagger described himself as a “burning volcano ready to blow” but the woman wasn’t interested. Then three years later, Mick sang about an aggressive seductress who wanted to pin him to the ground and rip his clothes off. It’s a fun contrast on back to back Rolling Stones albums.
“She Was Hot” debuted in 1983 on their Undercover Of The Night album. The steamy 80’s video had to be edited for MTV. The vintage clip starred Anita Morris in a tight red dress seductively, and comically, enticing each of the members of the Rolling Stones. Anita is best known for roles on Broadway and a starring role in the 80’s comedy classic, Ruthless People, with Danny DeVito. Just three years earlier, the Stones sang about a woman with the opposite reaction with “She’s So Cold” on their Emotional Rescue album. Both songs were the second single released and while neither became Top 20 hits, they’re memorable Stones concert set list favorites.
