U2 Bootleg, Grohl Covers McCartney, Timberlake Raps With Jimmy Fallon

“MAYBE I’M AMAZED” DAVE GROHL with NORAH JONES

Dave Grohl is my rock & roll hero.  His attitude, music, humor, and style just exudes “COOL”.  Dave’s a brilliant musician but he becomes the biggest rock groupie when given the chance to perform with some of his music heroes. Check out the latest Foo Fighters DVD and his reaction to performing with Lemmy of Motorhead.  On the video I’m highlighting, Dave collaborates with the blues, jazzy style of Norah Jones for  an unbelievable tribute to Paul McCartney at the Kennedy Center Honors concert. Pure perfection!

“STAND BY ME”       BONO with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
Vintage 80’s bootleg footage here of a 1984 U2 concert in New Jersey. Bono has covered Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” many times on U2 concert set lists but something magical happened on this night for the band’s closing encore number.  Inviting up Jersey hero, Bruce Springsteen, to trade verses is a perfect musical pairing. You’ve got to love the time capsule  feel of seeing both artists in their 80’s prime dressed in their iconic outfits. “The Unforgettable Fire” meets “Born In The USA”!! You may remember they later teamed up on select dates for Amnesty International concerts.
